| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Emperor Claudius facing right, rendered in the restrained provincial style typical of Phrygian mint output. The legend encircles the effigy in Greek characters, running along the outer periphery of the flan. The portrait displays characteristic features of Claudian imperial iconography, including a short neck and compact facial profile. The flan is slightly irregular, as is common for struck bronzes of this region and period. |
