Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Claudius facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Decapolis civic coinage. The imperial effigy displays the characteristic wreath of laurel leaves encircling the head, with facial features consistent with Claudian portraiture. A Greek legend encircles the bust within the coin's field, reading ΣΕΒΑΣΤⲰΙ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ (Augustus Caesar). The flan is irregular and slightly rough, as expected of hammered provincial bronzes of this period.
