| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic three-quarter back view typical of later Severan provincial coinage. The effigy shows the emperor's head adorned with a laurel wreath, with drapery and cuirass visible over the shoulder. The abbreviated Greek legend ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟϹ runs in the field, identifying the emperor by his dynastic name Antoninus. The style is consistent with the provincial workshop output of the Lydian conventus under Roman administration. |
