| Obverse description | Laureate head of Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Gazan civic coinage. The portrait displays the emperor's characteristic features with a wreathed laurel crown, the neck truncation visible at the lower flan. A partially preserved Greek legend surrounds the effigy, legible in part as ]ΝΟϹ ϹΕΒΑϹ[, representing the abbreviated imperial titulature. The strike is somewhat weak and off-center, consistent with the irregular flan characteristic of this provincial series. |

| Reverse description | Nude figure of Heracles standing facing, with head turned to the left, in the canonical heroic pose. His right arm rests upon a grounded club set to his side, while his left hand holds the Nemean lion skin draped over the forearm. To the left of the figure appears the civic symbol of Gaza, the so-called mem sign, serving as a local mint or magistrate mark. The Greek legend ΓΑΖΑ and the regnal year notation ΓϹ (die altered from ΒϹ) are distributed in the field, attesting to the recutting of the die to update the year of issue. |
