| Obverse description | Bare head of the emperor Tiberius facing right, rendered in a somewhat schematic provincial style typical of Alexandrian civic coinage. The portrait occupies the central field, with the abbreviation ΤΙ-ΒΕ divided on either side of the neck, identifying the ruler as Tiberius. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical wear consistent with circulation. |
