Obverse description Bare head of Emperor Nero facing right, rendered in the portraiture style typical of early Julio-Claudian provincial coinage. The legend ΝΕΡΩΝ appears in Greek characters around the portrait, identifying the emperor. A monogram incorporating the letters ΥΟ is present in the field. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical wear and patination consistent with provincial bronze coinage of Asia Minor.
