| Obverse description | Turreted and draped bust of the city goddess Tyche facing right, her head adorned with a mural crown (turreted wreath), with drapery visible over the shoulder. The figure is rendered in the local provincial style typical of Aeolian civic coinage of the Antonine period. The circular legend ΕΛΑΙΤΩΝ appears around the bust in Greek script, identifying the issuing city of Elaea. The flan is irregular and the strike somewhat worn, consistent with small-denomination civic bronze coinage of the period. |
