Obverse description Bare laureate head of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Milesian mint. The imperial portrait is encircled by a Greek legend reading ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ distributed around the periphery of the flan. The flan is irregular and the surfaces heavily patinated, rendering fine detail of the portrait largely obscured on this example.
