Obverse description Bare laureate head of the emperor Hadrian facing right, with slight drapery visible on the left shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style, with fine engraving of the laurel wreath and facial features. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical patination of Egyptian bronze coinage. No legend is present on this small nome issue.

Reverse description A ram advancing to the right, surmounted by a solar disk upon its back, serving as the emblematic animal of the Mareote nome of Egypt. The nome symbol is rendered in a compact, stylized manner characteristic of small Alexandrian provincial bronze issues. The reverse field carries the nome inscription and regnal year date divided around the type. The flan is irregularly shaped with areas of green patination.
