Obverse description Bare laureate head of the Emperor Hadrian facing right, with slight drapery visible on the left shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic Roman provincial style, with fine facial detail typical of Alexandrian nome coinage of the Hadrianic period. The flan is small and irregular, with the effigy occupying most of the available field.
