Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, with a notably long and full beard characteristic of his later portraiture. The emperor is depicted with draped shoulders, the effigy rendered in the provincial style typical of Mysian civic coinage. A partial Latin legend surrounds the bust along the periphery of the flan, partially visible due to the irregular striking. The surface carries a deep olive-green patina consistent with prolonged burial.
