| Obverse description | Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, seen from the rear, with the radiate crown rendered in bold relief above the imperial effigy. The drapery and cuirass are visible at the truncation. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ ΑΝΤωΝΕΙ, identifying the emperor as Antoninus, distributed around the field in the characteristic provincial style of Mesopotamian civic coinage. |
