Apollonoshieron was a minor Lydian civic center whose coins are attested in such small numbers that most major collections hold no example at all. The city struck bronze only sporadically under the Antonines, likely tied to local festival or cultic need rather than any sustained municipal coinage program. RPC IV.2 #1731 is among the rarest entries in that volume's Lydian section.
