Attaos was a minor Lydian city whose civic coinage under Trajan is poorly documented in ancient sources, and the attribution of this type rests almost entirely on numismatic evidence rather than literary or epigraphic confirmation. RPC III 1755 records very few specimens, making even modest survivors meaningful for the series.
