Obverse description Draped bust of Livia, depicted as Augusta (ΣΕΒΑΣΤΗ), facing right, with hair arranged in waves and drawn back in a bun, rendered in the provincial style typical of early Imperial Asia Minor bronzes. The portrait conveys the idealized effigy associated with Livia's assimilation to divine or semi-divine status under Tiberius. The Greek legend ΣΕΒΑΣΤΗ appears in the left field, identifying the empress with the title Augusta. The flan is irregular and the strike somewhat flat, consistent with local municipal coinage of the Phrygian conventus.
