Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the typical provincial style of Alexandrian coinage, with the laureate wreath clearly distinguishable atop the head. The flan is irregular, characteristic of small-denomination Egyptian provincial bronzes of the period.

Reverse description A dog seated to the right, depicted in a stylised manner evoking the sacred canine deity Anubis or the nome symbol of Cynopolis, rendered with a raised tail and alert posture upon a ground line. Flanking the figure are the Greek nome abbreviation ΚΥΝΟΠ to the left and the regnal year notation L ΙΑ (year 11) to the right, identifying this issue to the Cynopolite nome in Hadrian's eleventh regnal year (126/127 AD). The reverse field is plain, with no additional decorative elements.
