| Additional information |
The Alexandrian bronze series under Hadrian is distinguished by its regnal year dating — "L ΙΑ" marks year 11 of his reign, equivalent to 126/127 AD. Hadrian visited Egypt in person that year, one of the few reigning emperors to do so, and the event prompted a notable burst of civic and religious coinage from the Alexandria mint. Whether this piece was struck before or after his arrival is impossible to determine, but the timing places it squarely within the most active phase of Alexandrian output under his rule.
