| Obverse description | Laureate, cuirassed and paludamentum-draped bust of Emperor Commodus facing right. The portrait is rendered in the provincial style typical of Arabia-region civic bronzes of the Antonine period. The legend encircles the bust in Greek characters. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-hammered provincial coinage of the late 2nd century AD. |
