Obverse description Crescent symbol depicted in the central field, a recurring celestial motif employed on Alexandrian bronze coinage of the Augustan period. The design is minimal and emblematic, consistent with the small module and utilitarian character of this denomination. The flan is irregular and the surfaces worn, as typical of circulated bronze issues from the Alexandrian mint.
