Obverse description Draped female head facing left, wearing a sphendone (a cloth head-binding tied at the top), rendered in the classical Ionian style typical of late 4th-century BC Phokaia coinage. The facial features are modelled in relief with a naturalistic profile, displaying a refined Hellenistic treatment of the hair gathered beneath the sphendone. The field is plain and devoid of inscription or subsidiary symbols. The flan is slightly irregular, characteristic of hammered bronze issues of the period.
