Reverse description A prominent grain seed (barley corn) depicted in high relief at the center of the field, flanked on either side by the Greek letters Ε and Λ — the civic monogram of Elaia — all enclosed within a symmetrical olive or laurel wreath tied at the base. The wreath is carefully rendered with pairs of leaves arranged along curving branches, consistent with Aeolian civic bronze coinage of the fourth to third centuries BC.
