Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style typical of the Flavian period. The portrait displays the characteristic mature, stern features of Vespasian with a laurel wreath crowning the head. The flan is irregular and the surfaces heavily patinated, with the effigy occupying the central field. No legend is visible on this example, consistent with many issues of this type from the Alexandrian mint.

Reverse description A sacred ibis, the bird emblematic of the god Thoth, depicted standing and facing right with its long curved beak prominent. The ibis is rendered in a schematic style characteristic of Alexandrian provincial bronze coinage of the Flavian era. The regnal year inscription L Η (Year 8) appears in the field, serving as the primary dating element of this issue. The reverse field is otherwise plain, with the bird and date mark forming the complete design.
