| Obverse description | Struck on an irregularly shaped square copper flan, the obverse displays a solar symbol rendered as a rayed star or sun motif in the left field, accompanied by a crescent moon symbol to the right, both depicted in low relief against a plain, unadorned field. The motifs are boldly punched in the characteristic die-struck style of Western Satrap copper coinage, with no surrounding legend or border. The solar and lunar devices together serve as auspicious dynastic symbols, a convention well established in the numismatic tradition of the Indo-Scythian rulers. The surfaces display an olive-brown patina consistent with extended burial, and the flan exhibits characteristic hammer-struck irregularities at the margins. |
