Obverse description Laureate head of Tiberius facing right, rendered in high relief with a strongly modelled profile typical of early Julio-Claudian provincial portraiture. The emperor is depicted with a radiate laurel wreath crowning his head, a paludamentum or drapery visible at the truncation of the bust. The surrounding Latin legend reads TI CAESAR DIVI AVGVSTI F AVGVSTVS, distributed around the entire circumference of the coin. The field shows natural patination with areas of green encrustation consistent with the coin's age and bronze composition. The engraving style reflects local North African workshop production imitating official Roman imperial imagery.
