The figure is draped and rendered with naturalistic musculature typical of the period. A vertical Greek legend flanks the figure on both sides of the field, reading ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the left and ΠΡΟΥΣΙΟΥ to the right. The composition is characteristic of Bithynian royal bronze coinage attributable to Prusias I or Prusias II. |
