| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style. The goddess wears a crested Attic helmet with a prominent raised crest and cheek guards, beneath which locks of hair are visible along the neck. The portrait is modeled in high relief with carefully defined facial features including a straight nose and firm chin. No legend appears in the field, the design filling the flan to the border. |

| Reverse description | Nike, the winged goddess of victory, advances to the left in a striding pose, her drapery rendered in motion. With her raised right hand she crowns the royal name inscribed in the field, while her left hand holds a stylis (naval standard). In the inner left field, the piloi (caps) of the Dioskouroi appear above a monogram. The Greek royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΡΟΥΣΙΟΥ is disposed in the field, identifying the issuing king Prusias. |
