| Obverse description | Bare head of Perseus facing right, wearing a Phrygian-style winged helmet with a prominent crest, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition. The facial features are finely modeled with a strong profile, a slightly parted jaw, and a visible earring pendant. The helmet is adorned with swept-back wings at the temples, a characteristic iconographic marker identifying the wearer as Perseus, son of Zeus. The flan is compact and the portrait occupies most of the field, with no surrounding legend. |
