| Obverse description | Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantine II facing left, rendered in a crude barbarous style typical of Germanic imitations. The effigy is encircled by a degenerate, nonsensical retrograde legend derived from an imperial prototype, read from right to left. The lettering, though garbled, retains the general form of a Roman imperial titulature. The overall execution reflects the hand of a non-Roman die-cutter imitating official late Roman coinage. |
