Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Apollo facing left, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with fine detail to the hair and drapery at the shoulder. The effigy occupies the central field of the flan. The surrounding Greek legend ΑΝΤΙΟΧΕΩΝ ΜΗΤΡΟΠΟΛΕΩΣ encircles the design, identifying the city of Antioch as metropolis. The strike is typical of the provincial Syrian series, with moderate relief on an irregularly shaped flan.
