(Translation: Caesar Domitianus Augusti Filius. Caesar Domitian, son of the emperor (Augustus).)
Reverse description A Jupiterian eagle displayed frontally, perched atop a thunderbolt, with wings fully spread and head turned to the right — a standard Flavian dynastic device symbolising divine favour and imperial succession. The bold, high-relief rendering of the eagle dominates the field, with the thunderbolt rendered beneath its talons. The senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears divided in the lower field to left and right of the eagle's body, and the surrounding legend records Domitian's consular and honorific titles, disposed around the periphery of the flan.
