| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing left, rendered in the Hellenistic style typical of Aeolian civic bronzes. The goddess wears a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head, with the cheekpieces raised, revealing her facial features in clear relief. Hair is visible beneath the helmet, falling in locks along the neck. The portrait occupies the central field without inscription, the flan showing characteristic irregular hammered fabric. |
