| Reverse description | An eagle standing facing left, wings partially spread, as is conventional on Alexandrian provincial bronzes of the Julio-Claudian period. The regnal year date L ΙΒ (year 12) appears in the field flanking the eagle, with L serving as the Egyptian symbol for 'year' and ΙΒ denoting the numeral 12, corresponding to 51–52 AD. The flan is irregular and the surface shows typical wear and granularity consistent with circulated hammered bronzes. |
