| Obverse description | Bare head of Augustus facing left, rendered in a relatively coarse provincial style typical of Cretan civic bronze coinage. The portrait is set within the field with the Greek legend ΚΑΙϹΑΡ (Caesar) partially visible around the effigy. The flan is irregular and somewhat broad, characteristic of locally produced hammered bronzes of the Augustan period. |
