| Obverse description | Laureate head of Persephone facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with elaborately waved hair secured by a wreath of grain or laurel. The magistrates' names ACKΛAΠOC and CΩCIOC are inscribed in Greek characters around the portrait, one to the left and one to the right of the bust within the field. The modeling of the face is delicate, with high cheekbones and a refined profile characteristic of late Sicilian Greek coinage. |
