Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic style with finely detailed hair bound by a laurel wreath, the locks falling in waves behind the neck. The portrait is boldly modeled in high relief, occupying most of the flan. The facial features display a youthful idealism characteristic of late Classical and early Hellenistic coinage from Ionia. The field is otherwise uninscribed, with no border visible on this irregular flan.
