Obverse description Youthful head of Herakles facing right, depicted with characteristic lion's skin headdress, the scalp and forepaws draped over the head in the conventional heroic manner. The facial features are rendered in the vigorous style typical of late Classical Boeotian bronzes, with a strong profile and defined jaw. The flan is slightly irregular, as is common for struck Boeotian civic issues of this period.
