Additional information

Teanum Sidicinum was a Sidicini settlement in northern Campania that fell under Roman control following the Samnite Wars, and its bronze coinage reflects that compressed window of semi-autonomous civic minting before Roman administrative consolidation effectively ended local issues. The Sidicini had long been squeezed between the Samnites and the Campanians, and their alliance with Rome was less a choice than a survival calculation.

The reference spread across HN Italy, Sambon, and the Weber and Morcom collections signals that surviving examples are well-documented but thinly distributed across major holdings — no single collection dominates the type.
