Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet adorned with a laurel wreath; the cheek-guards are raised, revealing finely rendered facial features with a prominent nose and slightly parted lips. Wavy locks of hair escape from beneath the helmet and fall along the neck. The die-work is characteristic of fourth-century Mysian bronze coinage, with bold, rounded relief typical of the period.
