| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Empress Elizabeth I of Russia, her hair elaborately dressed and adorned with a pearl-studded crown or kokoshnik, wearing an ornamented imperial mantle over a low-cut bodice decorated with jewels. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the baroque court portrait style characteristic of mid-18th-century Russian coinage. The circular Cyrillic legend surrounds the portrait, reading from the upper left, with the mint mark СПБ (Saint Petersburg) appearing in the lower exergue below the bust. |

| Reverse description | Central device comprises a crowned double-headed eagle displaying spread wings, the shield on its breast bearing the arms of Livonia and Estonia impaled: dexter, the walking lion of Livonia; sinister, the three leopards of Estonia. The eagle holds a sceptre in its right talon and an orb in its left. The denomination numeral 96 appears in the lower exergue, flanked by small rosette stops, with the date 1757 inscribed vertically along the right side of the design. The Latin legend MONETA LIVOESTHONICA arcs around the upper portion of the field. |
