Obverse description Draped bust of Empress Elizabeth I facing right, wearing an imperial crown adorned with pearls and cross, her hair elaborately dressed. The effigy is rendered in fine relief in the baroque style typical of mid-18th century Russian coinage. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the portrait within the coin's field, separated from the bust by a beaded inner border.
