Obverse description Colored effigy of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) depicted in a three-quarter view, wearing a light-colored suit and eyeglasses, holding a pencil in his right hand with a camera strap visible around his neck, rendered in full color against a plain silver field. The royal name legend in Thai script curves along the upper periphery of the coin, reading พระบาทสมเด็จพระปรมินทรมหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดช. The portrait is naturalistic and photographic in style, characteristic of Thai commemorative coinage of this period.
