Reverse description Central device features the combined coat of arms of Leipzig — two heraldic shields flanking a central spire or tower finial, the left shield bearing the letter M and the right shield displaying a rampant lion over vertical bars. The commemorative dates 1165 and 1965 flank the central spire above the shields. The Meissen manufactory mark (crossed swords) appears in the lower field.
