| Reverse description | A detailed high-relief effigy of a rotund pig stands prominently in the center of the rectangular field, symbolizing the Year of the Pig in the Chinese zodiac. The background features a richly detailed scenic composition incorporating traditional Singaporean architectural elements, a vintage ox-cart, tropical foliage including butterfly motifs and broad leaves, and stilted kampong houses set against a clouded sky. The denomination $80 is inscribed in large stylized numerals to the right of the pig. The inscription 1 KILOGRAM 999 FINE SILVER appears along the upper border of the field. |

Singapore's Lunar New Year bullion series has operated on an unusual dual-track format, with the Monetary Authority issuing both gold and silver kilo pieces alongside smaller fractional strikes. The kilo silver in particular occupies an awkward commercial niche — too heavy for most private collectors, too low in silver value to attract pure bullion buyers — which keeps mintages modest and secondary market liquidity thin.
The 2019 issue marks the Year of the Pig, the twelfth and final position in the twelve-year zodiacal cycle, making it the closing piece before the sequence resets with the Rat in 2020.
