Reverse description Dramatically rendered frontal bust of the crowned Czech Lion — the heraldic symbol of the Czech Republic — occupying the central field in high sculptural relief, wearing a jewelled royal crown at the top of the design. A coloured circular golden band frames the composition, within which the Czech national flag rendered in selective colour (blue, white and red) drapes across the lower field. To the lower right, a shield bearing the Moravian eagle is depicted in relief. The legend ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA arcs across the lower portion of the design on a ribbon, while the specifications 1000 g · Ag 999 appear to the upper right, and the Czech Mint mark CM with the designer's monogram appear at the lower centre.

Additional information

The Czech Lion series, produced by the Czech Mint for Niue, has become one of the more commercially successful bullion programs in Central Europe — which is itself something of an anomaly given that neither the Czech Republic nor Niue has a meaningful native silver mining tradition driving the issue. The 1-kilogram format sits at the upper edge of what dealers handle as a liquid bullion product rather than a cabinet piece.

Charles III's appearance here reflects a post-2022 updating of the series following Elizabeth II's death, requiring new obverse dies across the entire Czech Mint's Niue licensing portfolio.
