Reverse description Central bust of Simón Bolívar facing left, rendered in profile in a classical style. The surrounding legend LIBRE POR LA CONSTITUCION arcs along the upper field, with BOLIVAR inscribed below, referencing the liberator for whom the republic is named. The field is relatively plain, focusing attention on the portrait effigy. The overall design reflects the republican iconographic tradition of early South American coinage.
