Obverse description Central field features the interlaced and mirrored royal cypher of King Frederik IV — the conjoined letters F and 4 in elaborate script — surmounted by a large royal crown with arched top. The monogram occupies the majority of the flan and is rendered in high relief with fine baroque detailing. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device along the periphery, reading DOMINUS MIHI ADIUTOR (God be my helper), with dot stops separating the inscription at the base.

Reverse description The reverse carries a four-line inscription in the open field, presenting the denomination and currency designation in the first two lines, followed by the four-digit date on the third line, and the mintmaster's initials H·C·M on the fourth and lowermost line. The lettering is bold and upright, consistent with early eighteenth-century Scandinavian minting practice, with no additional decorative elements save for small decorative stars flanking the denomination numeral at the top.
