Obverse description Central field displays the crowned royal cipher of King Frederik III, formed by an interlaced 'F' and '3' monogram beneath a large arched crown, all within an inner beaded circle. The surrounding legend reads the denomination and date, separated by pellet stops, and is itself enclosed within an outer toothed or milled border. The monogram is boldly rendered in the late Baroque style characteristic of mid-17th-century Danish-Norwegian coinage.
