Reverse description At the center of the reverse, a large royal crown is depicted in high relief, rendered with elaborate ornamentation including arched bands, a cross surmount, and decorative floral elements at the base. Flanking the crown below are the denomination numerals '8' to the left and 'S' to the right, indicating 8 Skilling. Beneath the crown, the mint initials 'D • M • A •' appear, identifying the Glückstadt Mint and its officials. The date '1703' (on the illustrated example) is displayed at the lower portion of the field, separated by small rosette or floral ornaments. The surrounding legend reads DAN • NOR • VAN • GOT • REX, abbreviating the king's full royal titles as King of Denmark, Norway, the Vandals, and the Goths.
