| Obverse description | Central crowned shield bearing the arms of Denmark, superimposed over a long forked cross that extends to the inner beaded circle, dividing the field into four quadrants. The legend, struck in Latin, runs along the outer margin between the beaded circle and a beaded rim. The overall design is characteristic of mid-16th-century northern European hammered coinage, with slightly irregular planchet edges typical of hand-struck production. |
