Obverse description Conjoined busts of Christine of France (regent) and her young son Francesco Giacinto, Duke of Savoy, facing right, both draped, with the elder regent depicted in flowing robes and the child duke shown in smaller scale to her right. The effigies are rendered in high relief in the baroque style typical of the Turin Mint. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, reading: +CHR FR FR HYAC DVCES SABAV P P PED R R CYPRI, identifying both rulers as Dukes of Savoy, Princes of Piedmont, and Kings of Cyprus.
